Hi everyone!
Welcome to Basic English 4. This course is designed to combine with Basic English 2 to give you a balanced English learning programme. In Basic English 2, you read books, speak, and learn vocabulary. In Basic English 4, you will do mainly writing, and you will also do some more vocabulary work.
The vocabulary work is very different from the vocabulary work in Basic English 2. We will use 100 Vocabulary Words Kids Need to Know by 6th Grade, a book written for native speaker elementary school children.
Because this is the age of the Internet, we will do our writing online, using a weblog (blog). The idea is that you should write a little and often. You don't need to worry about grammar so much, just write as much as you can.
I'll show you how to make a blog and give you more details later. For now, please work at your vocabulary book. And check out my new syllabus page. See you soon!
